The finding of atrial fibrillation is very important in stroke patients. With SRAclinic®, continuous monitoring of VHF episodes is possible. In addition, a risk score for available paoxysmal atrial fibrillation is determined if no flicker episodes occurred. This makes it possible to easily define risk factors, in which the search for atrial fibrillation episodes will be successful.
SRA® find atrial fibrillation patients with an sensitivity and specificity from >0,99 compared to a cardiac evaluation.
(Duning et al.; Extended electrocardiographic Poincaré analyses for better idetfication of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation; JClinExpCardiology (2011))
With a sensitivity from 60% and 99% specificity patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation outside of episodes are detected with SRA®.
With a sensitivity and specificity from >99% patients with acute atrial fibrillation were detected.
(Schaefer et al.; Improved Detection of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation Utilizing a Software-Assisted Electrocardiogram Approach (PLOS ONE 2014))
The detection rate from new diagnosed paroxysmal atrial fibrillation was increased by 40% - 170% with SRA®.
